MCSE - CCNA, do they mean much in Japan?

Postby Papa-Lazarou » Thu Aug 03, 2006 5:13 pm

Pretty simple question, do Microsoft or Cisco certifications mean much in Japan these days?
MCSE has certainly become devalued in the UK in recent years, almost to the point of worthlessness.

How about in Nihon?

Thanks

IMO, Japanese as a whole tend to look up to certificates and degrees much more so than in other countries. They have become someone devalued over the years but are worth their weight in gold to get your foot in the door.

If you know the background, you may as well get it on paper and increase your chances. Certainly could not hurt. Ganbatte! ;)

Thanks, it does seem that certificates and degrees hold some sway in Asia in general.

Cheers
