Tokyo, the largest city in the world
Thread from NZ
I'm in Tokyo, the largest city in the world and also impressively the safest, cleanest and most polite. If I stand on someone's foot, THEY say sorry, says Kiwi Megan Ruth Jack in Japan...

Actually, I'm surprised at just how free of litter the streets are here because rubbish bins seem to be like 'The Elusive One'. When you stop looking, you find them. I'm still waiting.

Weather is hot and humid. I took a photo of the sky and it looked like a blank canvas, so I probably won't get that one printed. I haven't met anyone doing hostessing, but unintentionally got to try it out myself with a 40 year old man from Nagoya. He helped me out with directions to the infamous Shinjuku red-light district, one thing led to another, and before I knew it he paid for me to have a go at the baseball batting range (20 strikes, 7 fouls and 1 homer), and bought me a wine and some tofu lasagne. Very romantic....the rest...
