Let me give all of you poseurs a little reminder. After 2 weeks, the standings are as follows:

As you can see, I am ranked number 1 based on points and victories.

Canman, Frank Gore is a stud with or without the fumbles and definitely better than that backup Philip Rivers you tried to take him for. At least put up someone with close to equal value. Oh wait, aside from Willie Parker, you have no one else good enough to trade!

P.S. This is the best smack talking year for the FG Bowl, bar none. I know that excited feeling before Sunday's games. Makes the Fall sports season exciting!

I will give credit where credit is due, but with respect to my team, and my performance, this is the first time that I have ever joined any kind of fantasy league, so going in I was a little unprepared. But my boys will still kick most of you sorry losers asses. I really can't wait until next year's draft, as I have a much better idea of what I'm doing.
That being said, and now that Kamome has got me hooked on this fantasy idea, are any of you hockey people interested in a fantasy hockey league. I'm sure that Dimwit and Lurker would join, being good Canadians and all. And Gilligan a good Bosntonian couldn't pass up a hockey game right. Mr. Sparkle aren't you a closet hockey fan. Anyway if you are interested pm me, The sporting news has a cool and fairly easy fantasy league going. I don't think we need a set number of members but the more the merrier.

Gretzky of course was great and had a nice full career. But to witness truly exceptional well-rounded hockey, you had to watch Orr -- a player who could score, set people up, control the puck, play defense, block shots, and was never afraid to throw down the gloves. And had his knees not ended his career after 11 short years there wouldn't even be room for discussion about who was the best.

Gretzky also co-owned Golden Pheasant that is, which won JRA's Japan Cup. He was sold to Shadai and is now standing as a stallion in Hokkaido (Golden Pheasant, not Gretzky).

Gilligan, I hear ya man I agree that Number 4 Bobby Orr was great, but the explaination you just wrote could almost be used to describe another great Edmonton defenceman, Paul Coffey.
So I can take it from your other post that you would be interested in joining a hockey draft. YOu must be happy about Boston getting Chara from Ottawa, he is a great defenceman, but I wonder with the refs calling things even more stictly this year will that hurt him, since he is such a physical presence.

I'm thinking of biting the bullet and subscribing to Gaora sports, just so I can get to see a few more NFL games. I think they show at least one or two live and the others on tape delay. Recently NHK's BS has had really spotty coverage, and most of the games are rebroadcast at 12:15am. I think if I had a little more information I could make a few better decisions and I wouldn't be almost at the bottom of the f@#$cking pile in our fantasy league.

Hell no. I am a Cali boy. We don't even know what hockey is in the Bay Area. Growing up, I vaguely remember the SF Seals. But by the time the Sharks came into play, it was waaaay too late.

Hockey? Pongi's your man.

I've found that you don't even need to watch NFL games in order to run a successful fantasy team. I was playing for 2-3 years in Japan and missed all of the regular season games. Stick to the fantasy insider information online and you'll know who to draft!
