Toshiba "Head Dome Projector"

At the Society for Information Display conference during early June, Toshiba presented a novel hyper-reality display called Head Dome Projector. The projector consisted of a compact dome-shaped screen with a radius of 40cm, a mobile projector with ultra-wide projection lens, and LED light sources.

The system exhibits a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees horizontally by 70 degrees vertically without head tracking, and 360 degrees x 360 degrees with head tracking. We assume the head tracking feature is afforded by the fact that it sits right over your head . . . more

Can you imgaine the neck/back pain having something like that on your head for prolonged periods of time would cause?? talk about a neck kink
