Whew! The only thing worse than a racist, right-wing jack ass for PM is... Oh wait, there isn't anything worse, is there.

Here's a bit of analysis about Gov. Blinky Ishihara's pulling out of the PM race...

The reality is, however, that Ishihara is 70 years old, and would have to start the party almost from scratch. Not only would he have to craft a new manifesto, he would also have to get caught up in the minutae of pulling politicians out of other parties, dueling with PM Koizumi and the LDP in general, and providing enough public face to attract public support -- no small task. Ishihara seems to have realized that his opportunity to change Japan's national politics from the central government is limited, and that he can be much more effective sniping from the sidelines as the leader of the nation's largest commercial and political center -- Tokyo.

The one person who would have been thrilled at Ishihara's decision was of course PM Koizumi. On Saturday the PM gave a public message of support to Ishihara... Now at least Koizumi can get back to fighting the Hydra called "the economy".

What are you talking about? Ishihara seems to be a very nice person, an effective leader, and the kind of guy who gets things done. Well that's the impression I got from the Metropolis article, surely if there's anything about the man that the magazine's target audience should be worried about, it would have been thoroughly explored.

Hey "DJEB"! You're kinda of new around here, so it isn't so obvious from our other messages that "Ramchop" and I are both just goofing around. As you notice with the emoticon in Ramchop's message, he's just being sarcastic from time to time.

Actually, Gov. Blinky is an over-the-top populist like Minn. Gov. Jesse Ventura. Sometimes even Blinky's cold, black heart is in the right place in terms of curbing the burning of Dioxin-laden bunker oil mixed with kerosene by rogue trucking companies (yakuza controlled) instead of proper light diesel fuel.
