Looks no different than today except for the cute tune playing in the backgroud. The chicks are as cute as ever especially the one playing bowling.
Nice video. Thanks for posting it.

Ahh, memories!

Thanks for posting that Mulboyne. Sure brings back a helluva lot of memories from my early days in Japan.

The bowling babe is none other than the most beautiful Ritsuko Nakayama whom I fell in love with when I was 18! I remember watching her throw a perfect game on live TV! Bowling alleys were everywhere and the waiting list was hours as they were so packed. When the boom was in full swing there must've been 2-3 bowling alleys every kilometer! As with all "booms" in Japan, a few years later it was hard to find one!

I remember when the first McDonalds opened up near Camp Zama in 1973. We were in heaven!

Cup o Noodle was a godsend. Vending machines were located everywhere that not only vended the cup, but the hot water also. and they also provided a fork or chopsticks! Cost was 100yen (33 cents US)

Hot pants were all the rage among J-women and it truly was a great time to be a gaijin in Japan.

Thanks again for the memories!
Do What You Love and You'll NEVER Work Another Day In Your Life!
