She was a roller-skating snowflake in the Disney Christmas parade, the Green Fairy from "Sleeping Beauty" and Pluto the dog before landing the Cinderella part.

This girl is not just a pretty face.

fairy dust

Postby skyline1080 » Thu Mar 13, 2003 3:54 am

 well.. from my view of being a character at disney, i could never get over it. like when me and my double switched in a resturant i couldnt get over seeing pooh watching tv or if i was just doing a park i just loved seeing mickey sitting in a chair (which you were'nt suppose to do) waiting for all the other characters to get ready. And i knew people that said their fairy dust was gone but when they went with a character to the top of the park like mickey and they see all the kids scream for mickey they get all fairy dusted again. FYI i was Tigger, geppetto, fowlfellow, the sherriff, the twiddles and i was in the tapestry of dreams parade at epcot

Dang, I stand corrected. If you could survive Epcot summer in a Tigger suit, Tokyo's summer won't be any problem.

Now *there's* a phrase you don't hear too often about the Japanese summer.

Maybe "skyline1080" is gonna do moonwalkin' Japanese Dance Dance Revolution freeSTylEin a full environmental air-con moonsuit.

I often hear of whining English teachers in the Japanese school system wonder about where their careers are headed, how boring it is, and if they really ever make a difference in the kids lives when they don't learn anything....

.....compared to working in Disneyland......

The wonderful thing about a dancing bear is not how well he dances, but that he dances at all.

The "fairy dust" in Tokyo Disneyland is just about meaningful as eikaiwa at the Japanese school I once had to substitute teach at once for 3 weeks.

Read the book Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. which you can download free here.

NYT wrote:New York Times review of Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, in the main book-review section. I'm doing a panel tomorrow called but this may disqualify me!
Cory Doctorow is an avid Weblogger (he can be found at boingboing.net), and his novel's ad-hocracies of ''twittering Pollyannic castmembers'' who smoke ''decaf'' crack and congratulate one another on ''Bitchun'' ideas offer a knowing, gently satiric view of a once ascendant digital culture. And the impressively imagined world of the novel is tricked out in lively prose.

She's pretty.

She looks like a white Tyra Banks.
