does Sakura house in tokyo suck?

Postby were_spider » Thu Mar 13, 2003 10:47 pm

i was staying at the their guest house near Yoyogi station...

some positives: the heater worked well, somewhat clean, ok area (nice walks between Shinjuku or Harajuku)

some negatives: no cable tv, took 10,000 en out of the deposit,
was stale, and there was no couch in the main room....

if i go back to tokyo, i'm looking for a place that i can easily get to ochanomizu or suidobashi... any help greatly appreciated yo.

Doug.

I stayed at the Sakura Hotel/Sakura House in Funabori (spelling) and I didn't have a problem with it. The rates were competitive and the shower was second to none. I could do without the coin operated tv in my rather small room but all the essentials were there and there was a Domino's Pizza next door! (Asian pizza is a cut above American 'za.) I only stayed a couple of days but I liked it. If the Sen Inn isn't around anymore I fully plan on returing to the Sakura to stay when I return to Japan next year!
Check out what I think you gaijins should be doing when you get to Japan at http://www.tokyoessentials.com ! Cum on, DO IT, I know you want to...
