Sake healthy?!
Is that the one cup stuff? Or the bonus one and a half cup sake?
Have to admit - don't drink it much mainly because there is too much variation of the stuff.
You can say the same about wine, that's true, but with wine I am quite happy to drink a couple of glasses of the stuff then sleep and not be pissed. If I drink the same amount of sake, then I am drunk and can't function.
And before you say it, sake ranges in alcohol levels from 14% and upwards and so does wine.
Funny story - last year, a mate and I went boarding up in Yuzawa and dropped off at Echigo Yuzawa Station on the way back, you can guess where this is heading?
Anyway, popped into the sake shop under the station and tried some of the different sakes and found one we liked. Somehow stumbled next door and picked up the respective bottle. The trouble was the bottle was phallic shaped. The looks we got on the train drinking out of a cock shaped bottle were classic!
