24-Hour Kimchee At KMart

On the 14th of December, Kmart (not that K-Mart) opened a new 24-hour supermarket offering Korean food and groceries alongside the usual Japan fare. Located on Shokuan Dori in Shinjuku (a short stroll from where a headless corpse was discovered - see below), the store managers say they are hoping to provide a bridge between Korea and Japan.

That's why nobody could smell the decaying headless horseman, or whatever he was!

This particular bridge between Japan and Korea has closed. Ostensibly for renovation but, since it has only been there since December, there may be some larger problems. A lot of TV stars sent congratulatory flowers so the shop went it opened so the sudden closing down sale ahead of the renovation work was a major surprise.
