Triple Play - Freeware recommendations please

Postby Mike Oxlong » Tue Dec 19, 2006 10:22 am

A request for help from the technically competent PC users out there...

Though I've seen bits of advice about what freeware apps to run on a Win-tel machine, would someone be kind enough to share the relevant info in one topic (or point out where my meagre search skills failed).

I'd like to install a virus checker, an adware/spyware blocker, and a software type firewall to better protect my PC. I think there may be some good freeware options out there. I use my machine for basic Internet surfing and light P2P downloading, in addition to the regular MS Office stuff, tunes and whatnot.

Please & thank you!

Kim-chan usually has junk like that lying around for the taking on the downloads or security section of her site....

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
