The deluxe model also fires a high tensile carbon tipped taser wire three inches into the intruder and then passes a 327,000 volt direct current through the intruder for 3 minutes. Twin fans discreetly placed to the front of the robot swiftly clear the air of the rather acrid smell of burnt flesh.

However, setting Man Traps* is illegal nowadays and Japanese laws for the protection of property and self are weak (seemingly non-existent) compared to Anglo-law countries.

Tonikaku . . . I'd love to get that deluxe Taser model you describe. My house was cleaned out my Chinese "picking" buglers last year---my third break-in for the past 15 years. :?

*Protection of property and self...
One is not permitted to set up traps to kill or maim persons who attempt to trespass on his/her property. There is a responsibility to warn trespassers of dangerous conditions and an inherent risk of injuries. You may not use a deep pit to catch trespassers or rigged shotgun to kill a trespasser.

Thats sillly.

If someone comes onto MY property illegally, then they are fair game IMO.

I follow the law. But its my opinion.
I will not abide ignorant intolerance just for the sake of getting along.

Do you live in Chinatown. Had a good friend that lived very close to Yamashita Park. Also, do you remember the American House (AmeHouse) Bar just off Yamashita dori?

Damn, I was back there 3 months ago and all the places I used to hang out are gone. Except for the Denny's near Yokohama stadium. I think that was still there. Windjammer is still there too I think.

Do you live in a Mansion, or a house? When my father-in-law built his house, he put in all of these security cameras and dead locks (the front door is impossible to kick in). No picking yet... knock on wood.

I work on the northern edge of Chinatown and it's REALLY changing---going highrise. The old dives are going out of business----no more OPM.

Worst part is they caught the burglars but I got nothing back. However, the burglars are now earning 3 times more than the average salary in China while staying in Fuchu Prison. :?

I live in a concrete cage "Mansion". Everyone in the end units (not visible from the street) were hit the same afternoon. All my webcam got was a few blurs before it was taken. The new TiBook they stole had PGP file encryption and phone-home software---the poor bastards had to replace the hard disk to sell or use it.

My previous robberies were in Tokyo ... I surprised and scared the crap out the shy whimpy Japanese burglars.

The number of times I go out without locking the front door to my place scares even myself. I guess I have been lulled into a false sense of security. But I have started locking up more often recently as there have been too many Jehovahs witnesses dropping by lately.. 8O

I live in a concrete mansion too.. but there is nothing really worth taking in there except perhaps my virtue.. 8O
