don't know why i didn't think to post here before searching google and all that crap.. force of habit i guess

friend of mine and i are leaving for hiroshima tonight from my place out here in shimane. i figure we'll get in around midnight. i'll be taking him to see most of the typical tourist stuff like the a-dome, peace park and shrine at miyajima etc..

we plan on staying somewhere in the hondori / nakagawara (?) area so i'm looking for two things:

recommended place to stay, mid-range in terms of price and recommended bars / nightlife. i figure if we get there by midnight tonight, being friday, that things will just be getting started.

suggestions?
