I'm surprised at some of the preachiness in some of the other threads.

What's with the anonymous poll AK?:D

Seriously, Dope is one of the few thing the police really do care about in Japan and I think doing dope in public (which I witnessed in a gaijin bar a couple weeks ago) is certifiable. If your out in the boonies where no one could possibly care, fine that however, is not what most people do.

In the 90s, the German's in Tokyo always had the hash...

So...are the Iranians still trying to sell "oishi marijuana" in front of train stations just feet away from the koban? In any other country one would assume this is a set-up, but no way the Japanese police would use Iranians for decoy buy and bust operations.

I have smoked it in a bar
I have smoked it in a car
I have smoked it on the street
I smoked skunk that smelled like feet
I smoked so much my head was bent
I smoked some more inside my tent
I have smoked it in a bong
I cannot believe it's something wrong
I have smoked it in a joint
Pot is good! That's my point!
I have smoked it in a blunt
I smoked some grass and licked a cunt
I have smoked a little one-hitter
Getting very very stoned while on the shitter
And then when it was time to wipe
I puffed on some resin that was left in my pipe
And I have smoked with a friend who jives
We put little bits of hash between very hot knives
I smoked a joint and then said 'Damn!
I'm stoned as shit in Vietnam
You may think that I'm insane
But I smoked it in India on a motherfucking train
And I didn't care if I was breaking the law
When I was HIGH on the mountains of gorgeous Nepal
I love to smoke pot and it's not just me
That gets high in the mountains and nearby the sea
Camping by a river or fishing in a lake
Early in the morning for a quick wake'n'bake
I smoked it as a boy and I smoked it as a man
I smoked it in America and I smoked it in Japan

I didn't get the impression that people were preaching against weed per se. Rather they were warning that the laissez faire attitude which you see in many countries is certainly not the case in Japan and that is something you need to take on board if you plan to stay for any length of time. Even though I knew all about Paul McCartney being arrested when I first arrived, the penny didn't drop for a few years for me. I personally know more people who have been arrested for drug offences than visa offences. Two of them were caught when they bought from their regular dealer who had already been arrested but was kept in play to hoover up others. One was stitched up by his ex-girlfriend and another by his company. The others were caught in possession when they were stopped on some other matter. I don't know anyone nabbed at Narita.

Yes, all the time...my first day in Utsunomiya I was met by two aussie girls in their car with a hash filled pipe...

Met a J guy who worked for yakusa who used to sell us (hostesses) green. I married him....

After the divorce, found a great Iranian who we could call and meet up a dark alley way.

I lived in the boonies - most of the gaijin were heads and 90% of my J friends smoked.

BUT - we were REALLY careful, having said that - smoking on ski lifts was fun with a snowboard attached to our feet..

Eh, what can I say? I'm a party girl.

Great timing with this question. Popped my Japanese pot cherry last Saturday at a live house.

I don't know what happened to the dealer who fingered his two customers but they were both convicted and deported fairly swiftly. The bloke who was stitched up by his ex-girlfriend was in prison for some months until his case came up. He pleaded guilty and was deported. The girl whose company reported her is in prison now awaiting trial. I think she intends to plead guilty too. None of them had/has family in Japan. Unlike sillygirl, I don't know anyone personally who is serving a sentence in a Japanese prison.

Aah, but the girl who lied about the American bloke got prosecuted for false allegations....my friend still did a week of detention and gawd know's how much hassle.

Columbian friend got caught with weed - and whoops, is that a tourist visa you've overstayed? 3 months in the slammer, then a trial (!) and bye-bye back to S.America.

Phillipino mate - had bags of everything with him (the one in Denny's benjo).Because of PR visa, got 5 years in Saitama slammer but unlikely to be deported. His brother, however, also got caught (shabu shabu and weed) and 3 months in the slammer, then a trial and off to Manila he went.

Hung out with highly salubrious people at times! This is when I was a hostess, loads of drugs around. Even more on the eikaiwai scene...

BB, I think you better stick to boiling daikon, it's a lot safer although a little more aromatic!

Huh? Where the hell did that come from?

OK. I just asked if she shared in your toking experience. Thats all.

One thing I find 100% abhorrent is fooling around with another's spouse. I've never done it (knowingly. There is one I'm not sure about.) and never will.

That
just
isnt
done.
OK?

And i've moved past blunts except for travel toking. I prefer water pipes.
