Thanks for the translation of what I had already been sent in Japanese.
It is very close but not exactly the same terminology.

I didn't mean to piss anyone off here it was just with all these people posting scaremonger stuff and over reacting, I was a little annoyed for which I will apologize.

What is the deal with the seeds then? How is it possible for them to have these in walk in shops and actually charge consumption tax on them?
I hear that some of the shops give a small picture frame with them and there is a warning that it is illegal to propagate them and they are intended only for KANSHO YO, decoration.

No one is overreacting. If the cops follow this up (and I still think they will) you are royally fucked. Hanging around and hoping it is going to be okay is not a smart thing to do. Then again, from your past actions it is clear that you are not a particularly smart person so I suppose this is not surprising.

When it comes to your current batch of self-made fuckup problems with the police, gboothe knows what he is talking about. Listening to what he says would be wise.

Not a great deal as usage and possession are two different things combined with not even a parking ticket here in 25 years, the community work I did around here and 1 last ace card left to play than can't be mentioned here.

Not that I'm saying I ever used it. Lol

I am not sure where in Japan that you are, but from my perspective Japan is in a position of a lack of labour for the amount of work that is out there.

There are more jobs than there are people to fill them so if I can offer you any advice it would be to think out of the box, buy the paper, scour the job sites and apply for everything while keeping an upbeat attitude. I know that being out of work for a while can be demoralizing but all I can offer you is encouragement to get out there and get some work - any work. How about working as a priest for weddings, how about phone teaching, how about labouring, how about well anything. The key is to be upbeat and eager and willing to try anything. That is if you are serious about getting work and getting out of the shit.

You're welcome to your opinion of course, but.....

TFG wrote:How does one do a runner with nowhere to run to & no money to run with?

Apart from a medical emergency or severe natural disaster, how the hell does someone get themselves into a position like this in the first place?

TFG wrote:As for the job scene, I am indeed working part time but can not get any more work and have not been able to for quite a while now.

?!? There is work out there... I know several people who are 40+, one who is about 60, and none of them have trouble finding work here. You're not going to like this, but either you're doing something wrong or you're not trying hard enough.

I went for the BOKUSHI SENSEI interview in Tokyo advertized in the paper.
They wanted me to buy 120,000 Yen's worth of DVDs and textbooks to study with. Obviously this wasn't possible nor a good thing to do anyway.

Well, to all those people who seem to think that I am not trying to get any work, I wish you could see the amount of jobs that I have already applied in all fields of possible employment to little or no avail.

This is not a sob story it is simply how things are.
Ok, the reason this situation is like this is that when the company I worked for closed down my dear wife (LoL) told me to not bother looking for work as she wanted to be the bread winner and as we are sitting on a great deal of land that would soon be ours, suggested I open a small school at the house and just continue with that. Then she decided to jump ship.

Maybe the unbelievers should try applying for jobs and telling the employer they are 49 just to see how many responses you get.

Wonder why?

Ok, not constructive, I know....but man, I can't believe how much your head is in la-la land right now. If it was me, I wouldn't be arguing on the 'net about whether marijuana seeds were legal or not in Japan, I would be running around panicking...

Not being able to get a job at your age is bullshit. I know of 2 over 50s who work at Nova.

I also know of 3 different people getting busted for drugs and are doing jail time.

One guy, an American, pissed his girlfriend off so she made up a story about him smoking dope, called the cops, he was arrested and detained for a week just on hearsay..

Run, Lola, Run..

The answer to your question of why I don't run around panicking like you would? Because, I am much cooler than all the plastic trying to be real Gaijin on this board. Of course that does not include everyone, just most of them.

That simple enough for your retarded brains?:p

New poster comes to FG with problem.

Some other posters try to offer advice.

Original poster disregards advice and insults members who offered it.

Members retaliate.

Good detective work Pongi. If you ever see me in Tokyo and I'm fucked over and out you better help me though cause you know the American embassy ain't gonna help me none. At least buy me a six pack and some fresh batteries for my walkman. I'd do it for you, man.

Hey fuck off plastic Pongi.
Go play with your faggot friends in 2 chome.

Fucking morons vile.

And as for FG Lurker.............You are nothing more than a festering boil on the face of humanity.:-D

And as for other festering boils... I will get off this for sure, it is almost a done deal!
You will never know how this was done. But what I do know is when you are gripped for the same deal, you will squeal like the little girls you are like the Nova jerks and take everyone around you down with you.
The only sad part of this is that there are a few decent people on this board who will not get to know the trick to this for which they have the puss ridden boils on this board to thank.

End of story.
Now go fuck yourselves.

They kept me trapped in It's A Small World, at Dismalland, so I naturally assumed that everything, everywhere, and everyone was completely happy and content with life, and harmony shined its zit-free head upon humanity. I agree, dude had it coming. Shit, in life I got divorced, or got fired, had major money problems, had police problems, etc. Point IS to talk to others, and get lots of advice, even if it's just to blow off steam. Guy needs some Xanax.

TFG, you are a new poster to these forums. Your first asked for advice about your rights concerning your divorce. Most people here would advise you to get professional advice on such a matter but your problem was certainly interesting for a lot of foreigners here. Whether you feel you got good information or not, it raised issues that many others should consider so it was a worthwhile topic for us, if not for you.

You then bring us the tale of a potential drug bust. It's pretty obvious to me that not every foreigner in Japan is going to be sympathetic to someone who is potentially up on such charges and the recent NOVA story should be a sharp reminder about how Japan sees this kind of case.

If some reactions seem out of order to you, that may be because you know more about your situation than you are telling us. Or maybe you have told us everything and people are coming to conclusions that you don't want to hear.

Members of this forum have a wide range of experience. It is no substitute for legal advice but, in my experience, most people try to offer the advice they would like to hear if they were in your position. Sure, some posters here get short shrift but I think you got some genuine responses. No-one set out to do you down until you started name-calling.

It's very possible that you are pulling our chain and none of your problems are real. It has happened on these forums before and will no doubt happen again. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt because I wouldn't want to think I left someone high and dry who might actually need some help. I do become very unsympathetic when someone wants my money. You haven't asked for any so I have no problem there.

If you are in the hole it seems you are in, then I imagine that none of the contempt you think you are getting from people here can match the contempt you feel for yourself. You've spent half your life here, doing what many of us do, and, now it has come back and bitten you on the bum, you wonder what the hell you've been doing all this time.

It seems to me that there's a good chance you will get some kind of financial settlement from your house but where do you want to be with your life? Do you want to find another Japanese wife so you can start afresh? Do you plan on living as a jaded, divorced gaijin in Japan, warning the JETs in your local bar about the perils of staying on too long?

Some people here were advising you to leave Japan even before they heard about your recent drug run-in. I think that advice was meant to tell you that you only have one life to live. You can spend the rest of your time trying to make sense of mistakes you have made or you can be prepared to realize that you have a lot of years left on this planet and you should start thinking about how to make the best use of them rather than trying to put the years already gone in a better light.

Maybe you will conclude that you future still involves Japan. If that is the case, then get your shit together and find a job. I'm pleased you have found some part-time work but, whatever you have been doing to find work to date, you have the wrong attitude and/or the wrong strategy. You don't find a job my sending emails or writing letters. With your experience, you need to go out there and beat some doors down to show how enthusiastic you are about working.
