Japanese women are 'baby-making machines'

Japan women called child machines
BBC NEWS | World | Asia-Pacific
Saturday, 27 January 2007, 22:48 GMT

Japan's health minister has referred to women as "birth-giving machines" in a speech to a local political meeting.
Hakuo Yanagisawa called for women to do their best to bear children in order to counter Japan's plummeting birth rate and rapidly ageing population.
"Because the number of birth-giving machines and devices is fixed, all we can ask for is for them to do their best per head," he said....more...

AO UTFSE

It drives me crazy how they only solutions they can come up with are to flood Japan with foreigners or to turn Japanese women into breeding machines. How about being grateful the population is finally shrinking and start to plan ways to redistribute the wealth and the resources? It's like if there's not an unlimited amount of peons for the corporate cocks to exploit the whole country is doomed. It's a very limited view of the situation.

You can't really redistribute wealth if there's no one generating it. What society should do it put a moratorium on medical advancement. The real problem is that people are just living too damn long. ;)

Yeah, I say let the population drop.

Less people = more vacant land = less demand for dirt = cheaper prices.

Tuna the world over will rejoice and a smaller population of Japanese might mean more sustainable consumption of this finite resource.

Get the immigrants in, most will be temporary, their taxes will be funneled into pensions and then they will go back to where they came from.

All round, natural depopulation for Japan sounds great!

Sigh... The whole idea that women are nothing but baby machines is so damned sickening. I just don't understand the reason they don't see that dwindling numbers of people in an already overpopulated country(130 million last I heard) is a bad thing. From what I understand, South Korea has only 48 million people, less than half Japan's population and they're getting by.

Not if it's being diversified with morons.

The idea that ethnic diversity is a kind of holy grail that the whole world should seek sickens me. God, I hope Japan doesn't go down the same road as Europe. Complete diversity equals no diversity. Paris equals London equals New York. That's fine, but why the fuck does the whole world have to do it? Foreigners don't help Japan; they help ruin Japan.

Abe warns health minister for calling women 'birth-giving machines'
Mainichi
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe warned Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Hakuo Yanagisawa on Monday over his description of women as "birth-giving machines."

The prime minister reportedly warned Yanagisawa against making "inappropriate remarks," after the minister called him and informed him about the controversy over his comment.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki revealed the details of the telephone conversation in a news conference on Monday morning. The same day Yanagisawa addressed reporters at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, apologizing for the remark.

"It was completely inappropriate, and I deeply apologize for harming the feelings of women," Yanagisawa said....more...

What was PC that I said in this thread?

I wasn't even disagreeing with your idea. I was just pointing out that according what I learned in biology oh so many years ago, diversity makes a gene pool stronger. Basically, I was saying that your logic was faulty.

Personally, I don't give a shit whether Japan becomes more diverse or not. And I generally like the fact that I'm "different" here. Yeah, it makes it hard to get a cab sometimes and I did get attacked by some douche bag, but it also gets me laid and gets me free booze from the oyajis at the yakitori-ya.

What I would disagree with is wealth redistribution. Are you a Marxist?

BTW, I saw a headline on a newspaper that someone was reading on the train today. I don't remember exactly what it said in Japanese, but it was quoting some women who asked, "If I'm a machine then does that mean I'm out of order since I can't give birth?"

Yes, it does.

Assemblyman calls Fukushima, other women 'rusted machines'
Japan Today - Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 07:50 EST
KOCHI---
Kochi city assembly member Toshiyuki Shimazaki of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party called Social Democratic Party leader Mizuho Fukushima and other female politicians "rusted machines" in relation to their criticism of the health minister's remarks likening women to child-bearing machines, the assemblyman said Friday.
"The SDP's Ms Fukushima and those old women whose machines are rusted are making a fuss" by calling for the resignation of Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Hakuo Yanagisawa, Shimazaki, 72, said during a party Thursday....

WD-40 I know it well.

These LDP politicians certainly do not need that as obviously their mouthes are already over lubricated.

Perhaps they should start giving high school boys lessons in cunnilingus.
I am sure their are plenty of "Rusty Women" around who would gladly volunteer.

Us Shikokuites are conservative folk and my guess when they were looking for a follow up to Yanigisawa moment of joy they came a hunting to Shikoku figuring there would be easy picking among the antidiluvites. My only surprise is that they had to go that far the political food chain to find someone dumb enough to make that kind of comment despite warning from the party brass.:D

Assemblyman to apologize for calling women 'rusted machines'
Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 05:00 EST
KOCHI ---
A Kochi city assembly member under fire for calling female opposition parliamentarians "rusted machines" said Monday he would retract and apologize for his remarks. "I like the song 'Sabita Naifu' (Rusted Knife) by Yujiro Ishihara and happened to make that kind of remark, which was inappropriate," said Toshiyuki Shimazaki.
Shimazaki, 72, said he will formally apologize in a written reply to a letter of protest sent by the Social Dem....
