Good point - at least it would enable me to eat natto by covering up the foul taste.

Also conbini sandwiches have so much of it on them they're revolting!

I prefer tartare sauce on potato wedges - I never dip fried potatoes in ketchup - yuckies.

What is good though if you get the frozen ebi from the supermarket, heat them up and douse them in a sauce of mixed mayo and tomato sauce and serve em up on a bed of lettuce - yum!

(omg I think I just had a Martha Stewart moment...)

How can you not put ketchup on fries???!!! That is how God intended it to be! How blasphemes!:flame:

I've been getting lazy about that. Cereal is just so much quicker than the full blown Japanese breakfast.

Gaijin Tonic has spotted the story with which this picture was originally associated:

Reuters: Mayo margaritas? Japan indulges its creamy passion
When Koji Nakamura mixes up a margarita cocktail, he adds a special ingredient -- mayonnaise. "Mayogarita", a white drink with a hint of the creamy dressing, is one of several cocktails Nakamura serves in his "Mayonnaise Kitchen" restaurant in suburban Tokyo...While older Japanese might gag at the thought of mayonnaise on rice or savory pancakes, the young are slathering it on. They even have a name for mayo fanatics: "mayolers"...more...

I'm really not shocked by the Japanese eating mayonaise on everything under the sun considering they eat, Shacko, shirako and natto. I'd take a bath in mayonaise before trying that shit.

I find that Kewpie is the Grey Pupon of mayonaise. There's just no going back.
Spare a drink?

Perhaps that makes it a popular food among women. :biggrin2:
