I don't get it. They are wearing those full boxing gloves and they are on the mat wrestling. I thought those Pride/UFCesque style fightings wear the less restrictive gloves for grabbing each other.

That's not a Pride fight, it's a Deep fight. They're two different organizations.

PRIDE and DEEP are pretty much the same. In fact, PRIDE's bushido series was put on with the help of DEEP. Also, those aren't full boxing gloves, those are 5oz gloves just like in UFC or PRIDE. Unfortunately, from the sounds of things, PRIDE is pretty much going out of business due to management screw-ups.
