Comedian and Miyazaki Prefecture Governor Hideo Higashikokubaru puts on a sombre display during his speech at the Foreign Correspondents Club in Tokyo. This Japanese report says that his jokes and stories went down well with the Japanese press but their foreign counterparts were a tough audience. The Japan Times picked up on a comment he made on the sex slave issue which apparently didn't draw many laughs.
