I can't think of anything trashier you could do to a flower. Sheesh.

I notice that most of the pictures show the messages on flowers to be in English. You can just as easily print kanji and kana so I wonder whether a Japanese audience recognizes that a message on a flower in their own language looks trashy but an English message somehow looks exotic. Not an uncommon phenomenon elsewhere.
