Koko Ga Hen Dayo Kankokujin!

One television forum to see foreigners speaking about Japan (in Japanese) was Beat Takeshi's Koko Ga Hen Dayo Nihonjin! - "Hey Japan, This Is Strange!" which used to run on TBS. Korean TV has a similar programme running on KBS2 called 미녀들의 수다 which features a group of foreign women addressing aspects of life in Korea. The website translates the title as "Global Talk Show" but it's probably closer to "Babe Chat". The title in Japanese gets translated as 美女たちのおしゃべり. Of interest to us on a Japan forum might be Saori, the Japanese panel member pictured above. Of more interest to FGs, though surely is English panel member Eva Popiel next to her. No, that's not her. Here's another picture:

Eva has a British father and Japanese mother and was known as Sachiko when she lived in Tokyo. Her work on the programme has turned her into something of a star in Korea and she has begun appearing in commercials as well as turning up on other shows. There's a short clip of her on Babe Chat embedded in this Korean language site and another here. There's an article on the programme in English here.

Well, she is pretty nice, but you shouldn't kidd an old dog like that! Besides that, being a half, she can be rated no better than the 50 percentile bracket on a YBF rating scale. Having said that, it doesn't mean I wouldn't breechload her.

She may be half, but surely she's in the 75%+ bracket on the YBF rating scale?

If I get to use the first 50%, don't you think the other 50% might just follow along?

And Bird, if you think you can find anything left of that baby, it's yours!
I hope you don't mind blisters!

Lecturer Fired for Sexual Advance to Japanese Student

Image

A Japanese guest on the panel of KBS' "Global Talk Show" was apparently telling the truth in her explosive revelation that she suffered sexual advances from a Korean college lecturer here. The lecturer admitted everything on Tuesday and resigned. "Global Talk Show" deals with Korea as seen through the eyes of 16 foreign women living here.
During discussion on the show of sexual harassment in Korea, Junko Sagawa said, "In my freshman year, one lecturer said he'll give me good grades if I have sexual relations with him even if I don't attend class."

An investigating panel at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies said the lecturer 。ーadmitted having a conversation to that effect。ア with Sagawa, but declined to reveal the exact content. HUFS fired the lecturer. Sagawa said, "Everything I said on television was true; all I did was talk about my experience in Korea since everyone else did. I wasn't familiar with Korean culture and didn't realize that my words would have such a huge impact."

The lecturer, identified as Jin, was a contract instructor in a Korean language and cultural education center at the university. Jin visited the school on Tuesday and apologized for "causing trouble". He had been teaching Korean to HUFS since 1992 and lectured in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication from 2003. Jin made the sexual advance to Sagawa in 2004, when she was in his class in her freshmen year. She stopped attending the class after the incident . . . more

Does that mean she took him up (on the offer)?

Just want to check with a raise of hands...

After looking at the picture of the woman above, how many of you thought you would probably engage in a bit of seku hara, too? Or at least wondered how far you could get before getting slapped with a seku hara lawsuit, or just plain slapped?
