Japanese Aid upgrades 'heritage' site (of My Lai massacre)

Japanese aid upgrades heritage site
 The Japanese Government has granted Vietnam US$2.5 million in non-refundable aid to upgrade the infrastructure of Son My cultural heritage site in central Quang Ngai province . . . The Ministry of Culture and Information will also spend nearly US$760,000 on upgrading and enlarging the infamous My Lai massacre historical site, a legacy of the US aggressors in the province.
On March 16, 1968, US armed forces turned the site into a killing field with the wanton shooting of 144 civilian residents of the two villages of Tu Cung and Co Luy.

:lol: Yeah.. All monuments built for 'aggression', should be sponsored by aggressors themselves. But just not THEIR particular aggression. Sort of like a global-aggression-monument-linkage. :wink:

Charming of Japan. Funding a Mai Lai memorial (which I have no problem with by the way) while at the same time continuing to deny the Rape of Nanking (which I do have a problem with).
