Baby v Train: First round draw

A seemingly unbreakable J-baby took on a Fuji Yoshida train, with no clear winner in their first round stoush. Rumour has it that the baby may be declared the winner on points.

. . . What guardian angel does this young child have? A fifteen month old little Japanese girl that just learned how to walk crawled in front of an approaching train - and survived the impact with a few harmless scratches.

The driver noticed the baby on an unsecured crossing, hit the brakes but couldn稚 bring the train to a stop in time, a police spokesman said on Monday. The accident happened in Fuji Yoshida, about 90 kilometer west of Tokyo.

The engine dragged the girl several meters until it fell into a ditch between the tracks. She suffered only minor scratches on her head, arms and legs.

Her mother and grandmother didn稚 notice the little runaway痴 collision, although they were staying inside their house which is only about 20 meters away from the railroad crossing . . . more
