Kotooshu's cute, but dudes aren't my thing.. Although, I've met a couple new-half's that were fucking HOT!..

And Michelle? All the Wei, baby! No ifs, ands, or putts. She's a hole in one. ;)

Cro Cop got knocked out at UFC 70 in the UK. Check out the position of his right foot after dropping. Nasty.

Boxing and other martial arts get a bad rep as combat sports but if you ask me the referees in UFC are idiots, they either let the homo-erotic grappling crap go on too long when nothing is happening or allow people to get seriously fucking hurt and the whole sport in general is too extreme and has too many sh*t injuries

I haven't seen the fight but I imagine having little protection on the feet (no bandage) and hands (tiny glove) is a recipe for injury

Gonzaga was once known as an amateurish outsider, too bad for Mirko who could have been a great kickboxer

That's the end of Crocop's career (hope he earned enough money for his retirement home)

potential to be a winner

I did many martial arts as a young lad mr wolverine jerk face, and I can tell you I've never seen so many badly chosen matches, no-contests and miss-matches in a sport such as UFC.

You get often get guys who are only really skilled at say Wrestling or Jujutsu thrown into a ring with a skilled stand up fighter only to be knocked the fuck out within a few seconds of the first round. Talk about a fucking joke of a fight ( it often gets worse, with the ref looking the guy who has already been KTFO by a typical kickboxer combination gets his face punched/kicked in some more while he's already lying unconscious on the floor).

Then you get stand up fighters, good karate fighters or kickboxers who really don't have a fucking clue about grappling. Then these dumb fucks chose to go into the ring with a wrestling expert and decide to 'wrestle' with them only to be made tap out with some kind of bone crunching leg-lock, juji-gatame, choke, compression lock, Rear naked choke, Kimura lock, arm-bar...bla bla
Talk about a shit mismatch of a fight that's over way too early.

Finally you get the 2 worst kinds of fight possible
1 Two UFC dudes who really can't box, and couldn't try to put a boxing combo together but are dumb enough to decide to fight each other in a regular stand-up fight....it quickly becomes the most boring fight you could ever watch.
2 Or the two karate men or boxers who try to wrestle each other on the ground, neither of them have a fucking clue what's going on and it just ends up looking like some homo-erotic BS.
This is where the matchs become so boring and so extended beyond the pay-per-view time-slot that viewers start demanding their money back.

Occasionally you get great UFC fights, but they are happening less and less frequently these days.

CroCop is a loss for UFC, I predict the sport will go downhill just like K-1 did. The only notable people I might want to tune in for are the likes of Gracie, Mark Hunt, Nogueira and their matches just ain't that exciting anymore. Shamrock once used to be great but these days he's better off doing his music or Holk Hogan impersonations

I'm not the one talking shit about the fights or the fighters. Or maybe Buraku's a fucking expert.

I'm no expert and I'm no fighter. I'm way out of shape and probably couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper bag right now. I'm just a fan of MMA who's been following it since UFC 2 and has trained pretty seriously in the past as a hobby. I've rolled with Pride fighters, sparred with Top Team members in Brazil and the US, and been tapped out by Pan American jiu-jitsu champs. I've also trained with Shooto pros, Abu Dhabi Combat Challenge winners, and RINGS fighters. I've been coached by some of Japan's best boxers and Barra Gracie's best black belts. So, I do know a little more about the game than the average person.

Just because you get a stiffy when you see two guys wrestling doesn't make grappling homo erotic.

The fact that you're talking about Gracie (which one?) and Shamrock (which one?) show's that you're stuck in the past. Generally speaking the Gracies are not top contenders anymore. Though the younger generation might be ready to put the family back in the spotlight. The skill level of the fighters is better than it's ever been. Pride gets the best people but the UFC is still good. And I'm not sure why you're even mentioning Nogueira (again, which one?) or Mark Hunt in the context of UFC since they aren't UFC fighters.

The horrible mismatches do still exist but were a much bigger problem in the early days when Billy Bob the Bubba-fu 8th degree blackbelt fought an alternate for the US Olympic Wrestling Team.

The refs have to wait a second or two after someone hits the canvas to see whether or not the person is actually KOed since there is no standing 8 count in MMA. I've seen plenty of fights where someone gets dropped by a punch only to recover and get the guy who just nailed him into the guard. The sport would be much worse and fighters would contest the decisions a lot more often if the fights were being called everytime someone got a little rocked. These guys are all trained professionals who know exactly what they're getting into.

Holy shit, SJ, I didn't know you trained like that! We had a guy on the forum who was a shaolin fighting expert (any of the other old timers remember his name?) He won a competition in China.

Yep, it was Mercutio. I've met him in person, and he's a good guy. I remember he went back to school in the U.S. and probably doesn't post here anymore.
