Japan Sells Helicopters to Tiny Chinese Terrorists

[FLOATL]Image[/FLOATL]3 Yamaha Motor Officials Arrested Over Attempt to Export Helicopter to China

Japanese police arrested three officials of a motorcycle and engine producer on Friday on suspicion they tried to export a high-performance helicopter to China that could be diverted to military use.

The men from Yamaha Motor Co. are accused of attempting to sell a restricted unmanned helicopter, said Fukuoka prefectural (state) police spokesman Yoichi Ohyama.

Police discovered the RMAX 181 helicopter's capabilities during tests they conducted after it was seized at a customs office in Nagoya, central Japan, in December 2005, Ohyama said....

Japan's Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry has said the helicopter is designed for spraying pesticides but could be converted to military purposes, such as spying or spreading chemical weapons.....more...

I want one...

What a fucking joke, the Chinese stopped copying Yamaha motorbikes long ago and moved onto better things like F16s, British naval ships, Soyuz spacecraft and Raptors

But suddenly a toy helicopter that were bought up by rich Japanese otaku with a 12 bhp engine and a range of a few feet sudddenly becomes a space age weapon
that
could be diverted to military use.

or maybe the xenophobe J-cops are just being paranoid again and using this as a lame excuse to jail some chinaman gaijins.

Here's what the Chinese are really doing
The Chicoms are copying American stealth tech, doing an overhaul of Ruskie carriers, building their own bombers, putting astronauts in space, testing ASAT weapons.....
Is it any wonder MacArthur said "the Japanese have the mindset of a 13 year old" ?

I think these helicopters are more deadly against Japanese when used by Japanese. Almost every year you hear a story about some farmer who flies these little helicopter drones to spray pesticides, and he chops off someone's head (or his own) with the propeller blades.
Still, these choppers could be risky in the wrong hands. Aum Shinrikyo bought several of them to spray chemical agents over Tokyo but they crashed them all while practicing.

It might not be as strange as one might thing at first glance. The US military has been worried about the use of model aircraft as a terroist delivery weapon for some time. As Charles mentioned, even Aum had an interest in them.

Although it is basically used for surveillance, when you look at the smaller "Predator" unmanned craft and its relatives, you see a lot of interesting capabilities for hurting people and breaking things.

They've already added weapons to THAT thing.

Anyone remember the early 90s when Asahara and his Shinrikyo boys were getting ready for an attack and practicing their killings local Japanese. The keystone J-Cops who have many xenophobes in their ranks were totally convinced it was a gaijin and continued doing their usual witch hunt for Koreans et cetera. It wasn't until the '95 Tokyo sarin attacks, they finally got it through their thick skulls that Nihonjin may be capable of such terrorism.

I call this latest paranoia to be another shameful act by the keystone cops. If the PRC really wanted to attack Nippon tomorrow, they last thing they would be using is some lame otaku toy with a 12 bhp engine and a range of a few feet.

I see you're a bit too young to remember the Sekigun-ha, kakumaru-ha, the wolf faction and some of the other friendly folks who were around when Shoko was still shitting yellow in diapers. But then again, they didn't kill too many people. What's 15 or 20 when you're having fun?

Also remember these leftiest were not Korean or Chinese but mostly Japanese. I think they killed 20 during their kamikaze attack on in Tel Aviv. But Jimineto had the J-Cops round up most of the radical socialists during the late 70s and 80s, although they had a strong radical ideology during the 70s most of their members were real amateurs and by the late 80s the ranks of the groups like Nihon Sekigun were filled with old senile people looking for a hobby or leftist geriatrics. Most of these guys were misguided socialist freaks but the never planned mass murder on a grand scale like Japan's doomsday cult.

Shoko on the other hand even if they hand crude weapons they planned big, he wanted to kill thousands upon thousands in Tokyo and even had plans for igniting the old sparks of the Coldwar with a nuclear showdown between the US and Russia. Aum even attempted to get their hand on old Soviet nuclear weapons and prospected for uranium in the Aussie outback.

I think we need the Kakumaru-Ha back especially after the Chukaku-Ha has become so mainstream liberal.

Asahi: PLA in market for 100 'copter drones
Yamaha Motor Co. not only was fully aware that China's army wanted to buy dozens of pilotless helicopters that can be converted to military purposes but it was also keen to clinch the illegal transaction, sources said Wednesday. They said that when Beijing BVE Technology Co. tried to purchase a Yamaha drone on behalf of the People's Liberation Army, its officials sought to sweeten the deal by telling Yamaha the PLA was keen to obtain 100 or so remote-controlled helicopters within a few years...more...
