I'm turning into a fat FG and would like to do something about it. I currently bike to work (20-35km round trip depending on the route), but I'd really like to be able to do some lifting to balance out the legwork and aerobic exercise of the riding (and just generally feel better). The problem is that I'm stuck at the office until 10 or 11 almost every single night and most gyms (including the ones right in front of my office and home) are closed by then.
I used to be a member at Gold's in Harajuku (and liked it a lot), but I'm now living and working on the east side of Tokyo so that's pretty far out of the way. Does anyone know of any late-night gyms (like until 2 or 3am) anywhere between Chuo-ku and Adachi-ku?
Pool, studios, treadmills and bikes aren't necessary, I'm mostly interested in lifting. Machines are great, but free weights are ok too. I thought there might be plenty of little hole-in-the-wall places in Sumida-ku or Taito-ku, but I don't see anything on-line.
I may end up either deciding that Harajuku isn't all that far away, or just getting some dumbbells to lift at home.
