[/floatl]ZAKZAK reports (Japanese) that a new Zero Woman film will be hitting the big screen this weekend. The sexploitation series, based on a manga by Toru Shinohara, features Rei, a female assassin working for a secret department of the Tokyo metropolitan police force. The character was originally played in the seventies by Miki Sugimoto. Subsequent versions have seen different actresses take up the role but most of the films have gone direct to video. The last to get a theatrical release was 1995's Zero Woman: Final Mission with Naoko Iijima. The actress this time will be Atsuko Miura who says she felt challenged by the script's prison-set lesbian scene and wondered how far to go. She also says that while the ropes in the nude bondage scene didn't hurt, it was hard being strung up for so long with her hands above her head. Her arch rival in the film is played by Sasa Handa who, ZAKZAK notes, brings her 90cm bust to the character.Trailer for 1974's "Zero Woman - Red Handcuffs". NSFW - contains nudity and violence.
