How did you arrive at that conclusion?
And don't assume they are just making it there on their solely grit and determination...many are financing criminal organization to aid them in their travel and many are victimized by these same organizations along the way.
I wasn't. But doesn't it make more sense to go after the criminals instead of their victims? Many of these crooks are actually ex-illegal immigrants themselves looking to make a buck off the fresh meat. However, in the case of Chinese most of them are helped along by Chinese organized crime (forgot what they are called), and it is not in the interest of the Chinese government to do anything about it.

Please don't for a second think kicking them out helps, they just climb back over the fence again and again and again until they either die or achieve their goals.

There are plenty of republicans against this bill mainly conservatives.

One of many issues I have with this bill is the $5,000 these citizens are expected to pay. So if one follows the rules they pay 5,000 while the average yearly income for an illegal is 12,000 get the z visa then later return to the country they escaped from, wait for a decision from the u.s. then come back in. This whole thing is laughable right down to the $5,000 what makes them think somebody who already broke the law coming in illegally and many have commited tax fraud or identity theft these scumbags are all of a sudden going to start following the rules? Another terrorist attack will happen and maybe then people will be so fed up with an inept government that they will riot in the streets.

The solution would be to kick them out and then build an actual fence that can realistically be built in a matter of months and guard the border like most countries in the world would do. I think there are real bad things about to happen in the U.S. and I love my country but I am grateful and glad to be living where I am right now right here in Japan. Don't even get me started on that fucking NAFTA super highway.

How does it work? It starts if you make over 70 grand right? So if you make 75 grand does that mean you have to pay the full federal tax on 75 g just like if you were back home or is it on some kind of scale or does it just start from zero at 70 or what? It's probably confusing as hell. Remember, 'legal' is just whatever they fucking decide it is and they make the laws so long winded and confusing that they reserve the right to put anyone in jail at any time.

It's up to about $83,000 now.

I don't know all of the details since it hasn't been an issue for me yet, but it's definitely not that simple. An American buddy of mine who's making well over that says one thing they look at is tax in your country of residence and you have to pay the difference. For example, if your federal income tax in the US is 35% and you pay 30% in the Republic of Fuckistan you'd have to pay 5% tax to the US. If it were reverse then you wouldn't owe any income tax.

KG and Kamome,

I'm currenlty employed by a company. However, I'm looking in incorporating and then contracting myself to them. I probably won't make enough money this year that it'd be worthwhile, but I want to get everything set up so that when the time comes I can do it without taking a hit. This will help me reduce my taxes both in Japan and in the US. My boss is the one who suggested I do it so there won't be any problems on that end. And don't worry, I will definitely get a tax professional to help me.

That's not nearly as bad as I imagined it.
