Ok, so I'm an assisstant teacher in three Japanese middle schools. The grade levels are ichinensei, ninensei, and sannensei. Translated this just means "1st years", "2nd years", and "3rd years", and it's equivalent to American 7-9th grades. So the kids are about 12-15 years old.

For the ichinensei, they JUST started learning English. So this means they know nothing. Well, they know "Good Morning" and "I go to school by bike", but that's about it. Some of them don't even know that. It's not a bad thing, try to think about how much Spanish/French/German you knew after 3 years of it in High School. I took HS Spanish for 3 years and all I took out of it was "Yo quiero taco bell". My apologies to Mrs. Gonzalez, Ms. Kuchinski, and Mrs. Mach.

You know what's kind of funny though? Some kids can't say "Good morning", but damn near all of them can ask if I have a big dick. Or, "bigu dikku" in Engrish....more...

Before saying like this, fuckin native english teachers should study Japanese and speak it.
In my high school days(private high school in Suginami ward),
there was a silly fucking Aussie assistant english teacher who never try to speak Japanese if I spoke to him in Japanese.
I still hate this dude.

The comment the guy made has nothing to do with whether he is or has studied Japanese. The fact is that in Western countries kids do not speak to a teacher in any language asking "How big is your dick".
Japanese treat English as a toy to excuse their pervertedness and impudence.
Would most Japanese kids go up to a Japanese Jr High school teacher and ask them "Chinpo Wa Oki Desu Ka"? The answer is NO.

fwiw, i was already conversant when i came over (to stay) 8 years ago and this has never been a problem for me. i simply do not get attempts to have fingers shoved up my ass and i'm quite happy with the status quo.

sorry, this just had me laughing quite audibly. the first time i read it, i read that affirmative "NO" as being the actual answer to the supposed question. thankfully there's no one else here.

I have found that there are some kindergardens in which poo fingers does happen frequently and others where it never happens at all and this has little to do with the language skills of the foreigner. It seems to be more related to the discipline within the kindergarden and to some extent the income/profession of the parents.
