How to deal with a crazie!!

I've been listening to my crazy neighbor for about a year. I didnt know he was probably crazy. But I'm sure now he's paranoid/schizoprenic, he is constantly shouting, screaming....to himself.

So...it has become so annoying I cannot sleep anymore, he shouts and screams and just basicaly wakes me up everynight. Who do I call?

Ok, Please dont say ghostbusters....or Crazy Busters!...

I need real answers...please!

I don't think there's much else you can do except for maybe moving. In fairness, they did work for me when I was living in a student house.

In Europe they got these in every major drugstore, usually for free. Don't know about Japan.

Is this in an apartment building? If so do you have an on-site caretaker that you can talk to? If not your best bet would be to bring this up with your real estate agent or landlord.

Ah the next building.... ok this may sound insane - but do you have any Japanese women over 40 living in your building? If so ask them whether they can hear this guy. If yes - and they are also unhappy about it, suggest that you are thinking of either going to the real estate agent or the poice about it because you are frightened. Ask them if they would like to come along.

When confronting real estate agents or the police you are in a much better position if you have some older Japanese women around you. Bonus points if you happen to have an elderly neighbour.

Sorry if it sounds crackpot - but once I had a problem in my old neighbourhood with graffiti and I took a couple of older women along with me to the police station to make a complaint. You have *never* seen such immediate action. I didn't have to say a word - they went hell for leather. Action was taken.

I think that, as an American, I know how to deal with "When Cultists Move into your Neighborhood" better than a Japanese person. We simply do a Waco or a Ruby Ridge and proudly move on. Randy Weaver was one of your buds, right?
