Hot shit!--KAWAGOE, JAPAN: Elderly women burn moxa (dried medicinal herbs) atop an unglazed plate on her head in order to improve her health, at the Myoshin-ji Temple in Kawagoe, suburban Tokyo...on the hottest day of summer (doyo-no-ushi-no-hi) on the traditional Japanese calender.

i know someone whose mother ran out of moxa and used to burn him with a senko straight to the arm or back of the neck!

Who's to say that they aren't the same women? It could be proof that the anti-aging moxa takes a few years to kick in.
