Japanese whalers kill 440 minke

A JAPANESE whaling fleet was on its way home carrying 440 minke whales killed during a five-month scientific expedition in Antarctic waters, the government said.
Led by the 7575-ton Nisshin Maru, the five vessels of the fleet were scheduled to enter their home ports in southern Japan early tomorrow, Japan's Fisheries Agency said in a press release.
