I'm not up on the science to know if whatever makes some women lesbians might also give them an advantage in sports. I doubt you are either. But there is a higher percentage of lesbianism in the professional sports world than the general population so even if the connection is just one of lesbians being more interested in sports because of lesbian cultural influence, it's pretty crazy to claim there is "zero connection."
But you know my point in saying that men want to know if she's a lesbian doesn't have anything to do with her being a golfer either! In general men just want to know if we could sleep with her or not. In other words, any sporting ability she may have is of little concern to men. Is she hot? Does she do it with men? Then somewhere else down the line comes stuff like is she smart, does she have good taste in shoes/music/movies, does she have sporting ability, whatever. We can't help this. We are set up to make judgements on physical attributes over all other.

Shit, how much more do you want us to "control" ourselves? The way men are designed is to grab any chick they want and drag her off into the woods. Men still have the physical ability to do so. As they have the physical ability to absolutely control all facets of economic and social life and pretty much keep women in cages if they so chose to. Hell, in some parts of the world they still do. But men (in the non-muslim world anyway) have chosen to control their physical superiority and create a more balanced society where women have economic and social power and even pretty much control if/when sex happens. Considering this, I think it's a bit much to be ridiculed for merely thinking about chicks as sex objects. If I was a woman I might see it as one of those "count your blessings" type of situations. I mean, shit, men aren't dragging women off into the jungle and yet women have the nerve to be pissed that men are even merely thinking about the possibility of mating with women in a civilized manner that probably follows a meal and features clean sheets?
I know that last paragraph comes off pretty wild. But hell, this is the internet and you know, one isn't allowed to post anything unless it's at one extreme or the other. Hey, I love women. They are just like any other human and totally suitable for the role of friend, colleague, boss, child, teacher, student, whatever. If they are really good at sports (compared to the general human population including men) then I even admire them as athletes.
But first I want to know if I have a chance of sleeping with them and if they appear attractive enough to make that enjoyable. And there is nothing wrong with that! It's just a reflection of the fact that man's drive for sex is stronger than his need for companionship, intellectual stimulation, security, entertainment, and anything else. I've learned over the years that for women, the need for sex may not be the top of the list compared to some of those other things. Good for them and vive la difference and all that.
But to be honest, it really isn't a subject that I am totally passionate about enough to cause a huge federal case of it and divide the board. Germaine Greer would not be impressed but hey, I really don't give a shit.
