'Japanese Collaborators, Please Stand Up'

I just stumbled and stepped into this steaming pile of a site. Yikes.

Japanese Collaborators, Please Stand Up
It is true that the great majority of the Koreans who lived under the Japanese (1910 - 1945) collaborated with the Japanese in that they were obedient to the Japanese and bowed to the Emperor every morning. Korea Times: Korea to Seize Assets of Japan Collaborators
The government will start an investigation on Friday to confiscate assets of descendents who received financial benefits from 400 pro-Japanese activities in the early 20th century. It marks the first time in 57 years that the government has taken action against Korean citizens who cooperated with Japan, which colonized the peninsula from 1910 to 1945. A similar move was foiled in 1949 due to strong protests from the collaborators. The Committee for the Inspection of Property of Japan Collaborators will start the investigation on Aug. 18 before seizing the property obtained by collaborators during Japanese colonization. Its preliminary investigation started in April...more...

IHT: South Korea to seize more assets of pro-Japanese collaborators
South Korea announced Monday it will seize more assets gained by Koreans who collaborated with the Japanese during colonial rule, more than 60 years after the end of the peninsula's occupation. South Korea will confiscate 25.6 billion won (US$27 million; €20 million) worth of land from the descendants of 10 people who allegedly collaborated with Japan during its 1910-45 colonial rule, a presidential commission said. It will be the second seizure of collaborators' assets since 2005, when a special law went into effect. In May, Seoul moved against nine alleged collaborators. The plan has "historic significance as it gives a lesson to future generations about the consequences of anti-nationalistic acts" said Jang Wan-ick, a member of the presidential commission on pro-Japanese collaborators' property. Among the 10 alleged collaborators named for the latest seizures was the late Min Byung-seok, who as a Cabinet minister played a key role in signing a 1910 treaty with Japan that placed the Korean peninsula under colonial rule. The property owners can file a lawsuit to contest the government's decision, the commission said...more...
