[/floatl]Confectioner Ishiya to recall all products

Major confectionary firm Ishiya Trading Co. announced Thursday it would recall all its products from stores over scandals revealed Tuesday regarding false sell-by dates found on its popular chocolate product Shiroi Koibito and the discovery of bacterial contamination of its ice cream and cake products.
President Isao Ishimizu also announced the Nishi Ward, Sapporo-based company would extend the voluntary halt of producing products, which was scheduled to end Saturday, in a press conference in Sapporo.
Ishimizu said it is not yet known when the company would restart operations. He said the halt will last until all production processes are investigated and a complete framework for preventing recurrence is made under administrative direction.
