Akiko Kanazawa is top enka singer and she's just goofing around with Minyo here with Yerrow Submarine. She a real "character"---she sports a near crew cut and always wears a men's kimono. Her voice is MUCH better than on this song.

How old is she. I looked at her website and some pictures she seemed old and others she looked like an older middle age hottie.

She's well over 60. She said 62 on TV during the last Red vs White show on NHK New Years. Safe to say you can 5 years to that... :wink:

I DON'T REALLY KNOW, but figure it out: she recorded "Yellow Submarine" around 1973 and she was over 30. Hell, she's done nude spreads in 1994 photobook "Wandering Flower" (Sasurai Hana).

Yes, it shows up fine on my PC, proabably an encoding issue if you can't see it.

Good eyes. Once I asked a high school girls mom if it was ok for her daughter (who was staying with me) if she could go on a date. So I wrote

"yoko-chan deeto mo ii desu ka?" Which she misunderstood to mean can I date Yoko (not her real name btw)
