Police plan to report the man, who died at the age of 52, to public prosecutors on Wednesday, accusing him of violating the Firearms and Swords Control Law.

I'm normally against all forms of capital punishment, but after carefully considering the circumstances surrounding this crime, I sincerely hope that they hang this guy. Giving him life would be completely out of the question.

So, if the dead guy refuses to answer any of the prosecutor's questions, would they declare him a hostile witness or something to that effect?

Just in case you all were wondering, it is against the law to bring a corpse on the trains in Japan, however if the deceased is a passenger in your car, the dearly departed is not required to wear a seatbelt.
