Gaijin couples group in NYC?

is there any sort of social group or club for japanese spouses and/or their american partners in new york?

Try Mixi. That's what my J-wife uses here in Vancouver and she has built up an incredible support network of mixed (and non-mixed) couples and families. It's amazing, really. Another site in Canada is jpcanada.com (I know that's not NY).

Meetup.com might be a good place to search as well (heck, I bet you could start your own if they don't have one already).

My wife uses Mixi too. She has a whole network of Japanese people who live in my hometown even though we live in Japan and have no plans to move back to the U.S. for the forseeable future...
