"My husband killed himself by cutting his neck with an axe"

Teenage girl admits killing dad with axe

Japan Times wrote:
A 16-year-old girl was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of killing her police officer father with an ax in their home in Kyotanabe, Kyoto Prefecture, police said.

Police quoted the girl, a vocational school student, as saying, "I killed my dad because I did not like him."

The 45-year-old man was found in his bed early Tuesday with ax wounds to his neck.

"My husband killed himself by cutting his neck with an ax," the officer's wife told police over the phone at around 4:40 a.m.

But after officers arrived at the scene, the girl admitted killing him and was placed under arrest, the police said.

The family members' names are being withheld because the suspect is a minor.

An autopsy was planned to confirm the cause of death, the police said.

The girl allegedly killed her father by chopping him in the right side of the neck early Tuesday while he was apparently asleep in the bedroom.

The ax had a blade about 30 cm long, the police said.

The bloodstained ax was found in the living room on the first floor, they said.

When the police arrived, the girl, dazed and covered in blood, was found in the living room with her mother and 19-year-old sister. The mother and sister were sleeping at the time of the attack and were woken by the girl afterward, the police said.

The officer, who joined the Kyoto Prefectural Police in 1981, lived with his wife and two daughters. He was off Monday and scheduled to work a day shift starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, the police said.

"He was an excellent officer," said Toshiaki Okano, deputy chief of Minami Police Station, where the officer worked. "I never heard that he had any troubles."

Girl who murdered father in ax attack changed into black dress before killing
Mainichi
KYOTO -- A 16-year-old girl who murdered her father with an ax as he was sleeping at their home in Kyotanabe, Kyoto Prefecture, changed into a black dress immediately before the killing, it has been learned.

Police said the reason the girl changed clothes was unclear, but they pointed out that she had purchased an ax in advance, and police suspect she had been calmly planning the murder. They are trying to find out when the girl decided to kill her father.

Murdered in the attack was a 45-year-old officer in the traffic division at Minami Police Station in Kyoto Prefecture.

Investigators said the girl's 41-year-old mother and her 19-year-old older sister went to sleep by about 12 a.m. on Tuesday. The 16-year-old, who often stayed up doing her homework, was up late the night before the killing. Immediately before murdering her father, she changed out of her pajamas into a black dress....more...

2. You've got their shoes.

Better not. She might be around with her ax faster than that. Look back at some of the recent kids that have off'd people. They're out on the bricks already.

Where's that kid that wacked off the kid's head and left it at the entrance to the school? He's out, or receiving "counseling".

They seem to have a major complex about locking up people under 20 for any prolonged length of time!

Yeah. He is living about 50 miles away and on occasions likes to come into Matsuyama on the weekends for some action.:(

Of course. One should really determine if that hand ax sticking out of his juglar caused sufficient damage to hurt him!

Very goth lolita of her, maybe someone will claim "the goth scene and the music" made her do it. Judas Priest and Ozzy can testify at the trial.

Well, yes. Unlikely as it is, maybe he had died of a heart attack before his neck was mistaken for a tree. Then maybe the daughter is only guilty of "wrongful disposal of a body".

Or say the wife (who told the Police that her husband, lying dead in his bed, had killed himself with an axe that was lying in the living room!) actually poinsoned him and daughter No 1 is taking the wrap - making it look like your ordinary, garden-variety, daughter-pops-a-valve and goes crazy axe murder.

Or maybe black just wasn't her colour.

This apparently happened a few hours after the last episode of a certain anime had a certain scene where a girl (in a black dress) went on a rampage, apparently with an axe...

They've apparently halted the broadcast of the episode in certain areas.

i saw a guy swinging a sword around in the street once...he didn't look 'crazed'. it appeared he was 'testing' it out maybe interested in buying it as this took place in front of a pawn shop. that said, it's typical lack of any semblance of common sense: 'let's blindly wield a sword on the street'. i decided to avoid that street. after nine years in japan, the one (1) think i've learned is to simply walk away from situations in which i'm not 100% comfortable/ clear on the street.

maybe my point is that sometimes people actually DO swing around weapons (and imaginary golf clubs), you know, for practice.

Ol' papa was banging some other woman, the daughter found out about it, got angry, and wacked daddy in the neck as he snuggled in his bed while visions of sugartits danced in his head. Would make for an interesting movie, or comic.
