Benetton Japan is starting sales of chopsticks as part of the "My Hashi" campaign. 1,000 yen a pop.

A department store and hotel here have decided to launch a campaign calling for people to bring their own chopsticks to restaurants as an environmental measure, it has been learned. The Chubu-Kintetsu department store in Yokkaichi and the Yokkaichi Miyako Hotel will launch the campaign in June, as part of their efforts to prevent global warming. The Japan Department Stores Association says it has never heard of such an approach by a department store. With the G-8 summit being held at Lake Toya in Hokkaido later this year, the department store and hotel are hoping to enlighten people about environmental issues starting in the area in front of Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station, where they operate. "We want people to use it as a chance to take another look at their lifestyles," said Yumiko Takahashi, a member of the department store's sales promotion division.
People will be able to use their own chopsticks at 12 restaurants in the department store's food mall and another mall in the area, as well as in three restaurants at the hotel. If diners bring their chopsticks with them three times, then they will be given a pair of chopsticks as a gift. The campaign will run from June 6 to 30. The department store's cafeteria and the hotel's restaurants, banquet halls and guest rooms are also considering eliminating disposable chopsticks and replacing them with chopsticks that can be washed and reused.
