So ka! That sort of makes sense now why Variety was recruiting one of the FG's Illuminati at the beginning of this year.

I wondered how Variety's classic headline style and obscure jargon would work in Japanese. Then I checked it out and was appalled to discover they don't even do that on their main English website. I guess Google is unable to parse and index headlines like "Sticks Nix Hick Pix" and Variety.com had to change accordingly.
