Blogger Ampontan has drawn attention to another blog run by Oniazuma which features "Asia & Yakuza Related Documentary Videos". Oniazuma has uploaded an English-subtitled NHK documentary made in the early 80's as the Yama-Ichi War was brewing. There are four in the series. The first is above while the remaining three are in the next post. Alternatively, you can just go on over to Oniazuma and watch them all there. He has a few other interesting clips and plans to host another documentary on Yamaguchi Gumi during the period from 1989.

What I find most fascinating about the yaks is how open they are about everything. Contrast that with the Italian mafia who won't even admit that the Cosa Nostra exists.
