Book keeping question

Anyone here can help me with a very simple book keeping question (high school level)? I think it is an error on the book, but I see this book is a reprinted book since 2004, so maybe I am wrong or confused. PM me please.

Interesting. I've never heard of this test before. I'll be getting my (US) CPA license pretty soon but I wonder if I should bother taking this too. Are Japanese companies looking for people with this nowadays?
