Welcome to FG. It would be downright odd if there wasn't something you didn't like about this board so it is good that you haven't let that stop you from joining in.

Look forward to seeing you around.

[quote="Dragonette"]Hi, Fellow FGs!

I've only been to Japan a few times, but I think I can qualify as a genuine fucked gaijin, both literally and figuratively, by virtue of my 27-year marriage to (due to a bad case of Yellow Fever) a real, imported, non-assimilated, ramen-guzzling &#26085]

Welcome aboard and I appreciate your attempt at being civil, but all the Yanks on the board fully realize that the word "rude" does not exist in the NY dialect of American English. It being a trait that originated in the Bronx, needs no verbal description.

Welcome Dragonette and Batsu_girl - females are seriously under-represented on this board so we welcome your arrival. Please feel free to also post in the Powder Room, reading its past threads could be amusing for you ^^

Quite true; however, if you follow the posts, of Ichigo here and Gomigirl, also the lizard girl et al. You'll soon see why!

Welcome Batsu Girl.
Don't worry about a thing. As long as you are mentally unstable, have a chronic drinking problem, or a fetish for goats, you will fit in just fine.

BTW the "Powder Room" is the infamous place where the FG "fillies" gather "to powder their noses" (as it used to be said of what goes on in a ladies room, in times past), as opposed to a place where people who snort powder meet.

Just thought I'd better clear that up.

:D

In hindsight, "nags" would've been a better term than "fillies". :p

BTW will "junior" GC be condemned to the "powder room", or are you keeping that a surprise for "labour day"?

Nope, that's Bedford-Stuyvesant. North of Fulton it is known as "meaner than a junkyard dog", a term we allowed NY'ers to import to NY from Chicago; however, we still require people from Flatbush to have a passport and visa when they travel to Chicago!

Oh, Cool!
So yet another Brooklyn contribution to the world at large!

Chicago? Is that an actual place? I thought it was just the name of a B'way show...

Postby uchimizu » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:06 am

Hi everybody,

I have been reading the forum for some time, but I just registered yesterday. I am a French guy who has been in and out of Japan for the last 10 years, mostly in the Kanto area.

As they say here "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu".

Good, if I stick to Honcho Dori...I will never get lost...

BTW, what does honcho mean in Japanese...? It isn't where the phrase 'head honcho' comes from is it....
