I just caught a repeat of the recent "Eigo de Shabera Nite" broadcast featuring Taro Aso where he talks about the importance of Japanese subculture and how he learned English. It's been uploaded to YouTube in five parts. Here are the first two and I'll put the other three in the next post.

I have the episode on my HDD recorder, but I am not technologically advanced enough to figure out how to get it online :-(

Good point. I've had some video clips in the past that people have sent me that I wanted to post, but had NFI of how to do it. This might be a good thread topic for all the tech gurus on the board!

By telling you how to do it, would I get in trouble for breaking the whole "no pirating etc. talk" rule?

Good point. I'll find out how to do it somewhere else. Apparently linking to contraband on YouTube is allowed, so as long as there's no discussion of the process of transmitting it to YouTube, I guess we are ok! :wink:

But not every video up on YouTube is illegal. So as long as the content doesn't violate YouTube's policies I don't see how there would be a problem in explaining how to upload legal vids.

He needs to know how to rip it to his pc/mac (more than likely requiring circumventing copy protection) then how to convert it to a format acceptable to youtube.

But it's all moot since the videos are still on Youtube, embedding is just disabled. Click on the videos to open the youtube page in a new window and watch them there.

Yes, my fault, I didn't notice that. I can still play them from FG fine but I assume that's something to do with the fact they are in my cache. Here's the link to the first one again if anyone wants to follow the links and watch the whole show.
