
The Bogor Institute of Agriculture on Monday named Japanese Prince Fumihito Akishino a senior researcher of locally bred chicken. The academic title was conferred by Lucky Abdullah, dean of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture's School of Husbandry, in a ceremony at the institute's campus in Bogor, West Java. "Prince Akishino has shown his great concern for research of Indonesia's local chicken, which has helped us describe in detail the genetics of the animal," spokesman for the institute Agus Lelana said.
