Squeaky clean pin-up queen Hikaru Kawamura is apparently embroiled in a bitter spat with talent agency boss Yoshiharu Noda over rumors she has been signed up for a porno movie, according to Flash (2/12). Though whispers about the 28-year-old photo model starring in a skin flick date back to last November, now she has apparently sued to try and stop revealing footage of her from going public. Noda -- who made his name running the Yellow Cab talent agency, best known for its stable of buxom young actresses -- has long been interested in getting into the movie business, and apparently drew up plans for a three-pronged project involving film, DVD and photo collection sales. He needed a big name star to get the project off the ground and Kawamura was his choice. But he apparently got her involved with the promise of giving her the lead role only to make it an adult movie and not the classier film she expected, or so the rumor goes.
The movie part of the plan foundered before filming even started, and Noda decided to begin by making the DVD, which supposedly featured shots of Kawamura baring her breasts. The DVD was funded, incidentally, by a major adult movie company, the photojournalism weekly says. Noda denies any such filming ever took place, but admits that his relationship with Kawamura is prickly at the moment. Others close to the action are not so convinced by Noda's arguments. "Kawamura did a nude shoot in October last year, make no mistake," a writer on the adult movie industry tells Flash. "The still shots were taken by a famous cameraman and the plan was to sell the DVD early in the spring. I know, because the maker told me they'd prepare some shots and asked me to give it a write-up for the magazines at the right time. I also know that there were no sex scenes, nor was there any real sex involved."
A publisher working in the pin-up industry claims Kawamura has already pursued litigation. "Kawamura really wanted to press charges against Noda for fraud, but instead filed a civil lawsuit against her talent agency and the makers of the materials she posed for. She's trying to get an injunction to stop sales of the DVD. There are a few scenes she desperately wants to stop from going public, including shots that show her nipples and others where she's covered in a white, gooey liquid supposed to look like semen," the publishing industry insider tells Flash. "Noda has already apparently paid her 20 million yen compensation. She's got a lawyer and absolutely refuses to talk to anyone about the case, sending everything through her counsel. She's also already found a new talent agency, apparently."
Kawamura, meanwhile, refuses several requests from the weekly to answer questions about the rumor. Others, though, are more talkative. A spokesman for the company supposed to have made the DVD starring Kawamura is adamant no such work exists. "We have absolutely no knowledge of any such project," the spokesman says. And Noda himself also denies the whispers of a nude shoot. "It's total poppycock," he tells Flash. "That would never happen in a decade. It's absolutely unthinkable."
