And probably Part of Emishi, Japanese aborigines, must had had blue or green eyes, too (Emishi and Ainu are same race). Originally they came from northern Afghanistan?
By the way, I am a descendant of Emishi.

Sadly, my suscription to the Weekly World News lapsed, so I dunno what's been going on with the Bat Child.

The WWN is available on line and given all the useful stories they get from Japan, I am surprised that you don't have it a favorite site.

So does that mean I related to everyone in your family except you?

Now I realize that when Hideo Takanuma warned about the possibility of a reigning empress marrying a blue-eyed foreigner, he was mainly objecting to mutants rather than other humans.

You say mutation, I say evolution. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome the other blue-eyed people to my family and give a common shout out to our great^16.49 granparent who made it possible for us to mystify Japanese girls with our highly-evolved peepers.

And in other news....

Everything is a mutation.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

I kinda liked the print version....was easier to bring to the toilet than lugging the computer over to the throne room.

My fear is bringing the laptop to the comode, and by accident opening a video chat window, it getting recorded, and posted here....
Now, if the internet came with a scratch and sniff option....you bet I'd be streaming video as I stream....I didn't cook the chicken thoroughly, again.

Don't want any mutants in the Korean lineage there!

Well, actually it appears we live among mutants here in Japan too - the characteristially East Asian features of our Japanese, Korean, and Chinese friends arose only about 10,000 years ago, according to the fossil record. Anthropologists reckon it had something to do with repeated glaciations favoring certain clans.

Whatever it was, if it produced today's Vixen japonensis as exemplified by Koyuki, it's all good.

-catone
-if you have an aversion to recent genetic mutations, opt for a Jomon/Ainu type; they apparently represent an earlier East Asian paradigm.
