A downtown Toronto Asian restaurant's female executive chef worries the owner's decision to serve sushi atop near-naked models during the film festival will degrade the restaurant. Monsoon Restaurant's Winlai Wong says it's selling sex and the restaurant is 'better than that'. Clothed only in bikini swimwear and banana leaves, a male and female model will lie on the bar and have Toronto International Film Festival patrons eat sushi off their bodies.

The restaurant's owner, Patrick Mallon, says the traditional concept is for the model to be completely naked, but they're not going to be that risque. He says they don't want to offend anybody, but his executive chef, one of only a few women to reach that position in Toronto's high-end culinary world, is offended. Wong, who is home on maternity leave, says she believes the move will hurt business.

OK so I have a need to experience eating sushi off a naked lady. Is this an urban myth or does it really exist? If so please provide details. I dont wnat to hear shite like oh my friend did it in Roppongi blah blah

This an interesting idea about urban myths and I am all for naked women. But if your girlfriend's friend does it shouldn't you be telling us where to go for body tempurature sushi/sashimi?

Hadaka Sushi, the overtly sexual new Sunset Strip sushi spot, had its opening party on Sunday night...Eddie Lin from Deep End Dining not only went, but he took a video camera too! Watch Eddie move through the evening, eating sushi off of naked girls while his camera looked at their faces and he looked at their...lotus flowers. Scantily clad servers semi-trained in the art of flirtation talk with that bordello lilt, even the poor girl who wants to be a chef but is stuck discussing the mouthfeel of a tempura-fried roll. Others have a natural flair: "These are our fried balls!" Looks like fun, but we'll take our sushi from a plate, not a banana-leaf strewn woman (which we think was just for the party, not a regular feature). Lin is very enthusiastic, so much so that the video ends the only way it can: Reaching for a bottle of Tylenol the next day. Hadaka opens to the public on March 25.

In Tsukiooka 月岡 (Niigata) you can go into any of the hotels and order your Geishya for Nyutaimori or just Wakamesake わかめ酒. They have catalogs of women to choose from. You make 3 choices and hopefully one of them will be there during the 'dinner' course of your stay. Any special 'dessert' needs are to be discussed directly with the Geishya. The stay usually costs 38,000 without the nudity and 58,000 with. (The dessert usually cost around 50,000.)

NBC: Restaurant To Serve Sushi On Nearly Nude Models

Picking up food with chopsticks is hard enough, now imagine picking that food off a nearly nude model. The Temple Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis is now the first restaurant in its area to serve sushi off the bodies of reclining models. "That's body sushi, they call it. Instead of using a plate, you use a body," said owner Thom Pham. Pham said the layout looks like a "beautiful piece of art. ... It's something different, something unusual." The sushi is placed on bamboo or banana leaves which are glued to the models' bodies. Pham said diners have to follow a very direct set of rules. "They have to fully respect the model, they can only use chopsticks to pick up the sushi," Pham said. Around the world, it's known as "naked sushi." Pham said it's very popular in Japan and Hong Kong. It also has made its way to New York and Seattle. So if you've ever had the urge to have your meal served on the body of a (presumably) attractive naked woman, this is your place. From the moment you enter the restaurant, the theme of merging the sensual pleasures of sex and food is apparent. Décor is heavy on suggestive accoutrements. The menu features dishes such as G-Spot rolls. The hook, though, is nyotaimori, or female body arrangement, aka a banquet on a bun. At over $1,000 for serving dish (heh heh), food extra, the experience is not for the faint of wallet. But for the jaded, it could be the dining experience of a lifetime.
