In a 1999 profile in The Charleston Gazette, Tucker talked about how he eventually got involved with computer graphics and video.

Yesterday there was almost a full page story in the local newspaper about how terrible his actions were, and how he had defiled the temples and shrines by stealing from them.
Now I don't condone what he did, but it seems killing a person is a lot worse than what this schmuck did, but the killing didn't warrant even a mention in the press, but this foreigner stealing from shrines and temples did. Double standard, I think so.

But I can understand a drunken brawl resulting in a death, and while I find it to be a terrible end result, It doesn't shock me in the same way that the theft and sale of religious artifacts does. I find that to be much more newsworthy and reprehensible. But then, maybe my value system is fucked - it's entirely possible.
